Managed Apprenticeship in Carpentry Level 4
Programme Details
• This is a 4 year fulltime programme
• You will be an apprentice for the duration of your training working on construction sites specified by your employer
• You will be earning a wage
• You will be assigned an Apprenticeship Coordinator by G&H who will assist you with your studies and visit you regularly (generally monthly)
• This programme is currently free for eligible learners
Entry Criteria
You can apply if you are:
• 16 years or older and;
• A New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident and;
• Physically able to complete construction works activities;
• Have a reasonable level of English and maths as determined by G&H Training staff
Entry Preference
Preference will be given to potential students who have an employer prepared to employ them as an apprentice.
Graduates Gain
• New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry Level 4
• The trade qualification in Carpentry

BCITO accredited
Graduates
When you finish the programme you will have the necessary entry requirements to:
• Apply for the Carpentry class of the Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) scheme
