Senior Secondary School Students
G&H Training offer
several packages of useful,
relevant units standards which enable them to
be useful and safe when they start Work Experience and credit directly
into National Certificates/Apprenticeships.

What
do I get with a Trade Skills Theory Course?
-
The
backing and support of G&H Training tutors, Modern
Apprenticeship Coordinators and head office staff.
-
A visit to you and your
students from a G&H tutor at least once per term
-
For theory units you can
choose to receive either:
A USB flash drive with all the resources you and your students will
require to complete the units standards of the course you
choose. This will include printable lesson plans, worksheet
assessments, summative assessments and study notes.
OR
Printed resources.
Lesson plans are designed to be studied by individual students, at
their own pace. However they are flexible enough to be
studied as a group.

A G&H
Training tutor will mark and moderate all summative assessments and
report results back to your school for registering with NZQA (under our
accreditation).

for practical units, students
will complete practical projects at one of G&H Training's
venues. All materials and tools are supplied.

Students completing a
G&H Trade Skills Course will have priority entry onto either
the G&H Training Pre-Employment Carpentry Course or Practical
Construction skills (if eligible). They will not need to have
any prior qualifications, or wait for exam results (Students without
NCEA level 1 will need to pass a brief literacy and numeracy
test). They will need to be over 16 years of age.

Our Modern Apprenticeship
Coordinators have many contacts in a variety of local
industries. They are available to meet with senior students
and may also be able to assist in finding suitable work experience
placements. click
