The
National Certificate in Carpentry L4 is a qualification recognised by the New
Zealand Qualifications Authority and for builder licensing. It contains 39
theory unit standards and 41 practical unit standards and is the equivalent of
Trade Certificate. G&H Web-based E-learning is a package of lesson plans for
the theory units that apprentices normally study off-job. Successful
completion of all these units on this course entitles the learner to a G&H
Training Certificate in Carpentry Theory.
This course is for people
working in the building industry and seeking a qualification towards builder
licensing.
This course allows you to
study at home, on your own computer with minimum down time on the job!
G&H
Web-based E-learning is available to New Zealand citizens and New Zealand
Residents.
Summary of costs
NB: Student Loans and Allowances are
not available for G&H web based study options.

Carpentry (L4))
The cost for individual
unit standards varies according to their credit value.
If you have previously
completed any of the units in the Course Content list or you do not wish to
enrol in the entire Certificate you can apply to enrol only in the unit
standards you wish to complete.
The cost is $20 per
credit plus a non-refundable administration fee
The
following costs ARE included in the total fees:
Access
to web-based lesson plans, formative and summative (final) assessments, and
a copy of the study notes for the units listed on your Offer of Acceptance.
NZQA
registration and credit fees. We report your credit achievements to you and
to NZQA for your Record of Learning.
Access
to a tutor through email for advice and support.

A computer
and internet access
– to use our e-learning you need access to a computer with broadband internet
connection, Internet Explorer 6.0, and Windows XP.
Toll calls
to a tutor for support
– Your designated tutor may not live in your region and you will have to pay the
cost if you telephone the tutor.
Travel
– You will need to provide your own transport to come into a G&H Training venue
to sit your summative assessments.
Stationery:
Optional, although the following stationery is recommended. Approximate cost:
$55.00 - $95.00.
